I’ve got a thick bathrobe. Most of the time I just put it on right out of the shower and wear it until I’m dry. Wash it every other other week or so. ---

Re: pockets. My usual pants are Levi’s jeans, with five pockets (including the little watch pocket): - Front left: Chap-Stik, Swiss Army knife, pill caddy with my diabetes meds - Front right: keys - Watch pocket: loose change - Rear left: either empty, or a KN-95 mask - Rear right: wallet ---

Cottage cheese is also good with canned pears, for school lunch definitions of good-comfort food with s side of nutrition. ---

One of those “weird things your family did that you didn’t realize no one else did” was the “salad” we always had with spaghetti. From bottom to top: One or two leaves of lettuce\*, a couple of slices of pineapple, a scoop of cottage cheese, and a dab of Miracle Whip. I always asked for no cottage cheese, my brother asked for no pineapple. He still loves cottage cheese and dislikes all fruit ---

I _knew_ cheddar was going to win. Even a hamburger joint here that touts a ‘cheddar burger’ that uses process cheddar. It looks suspiciously like American. There was no point to the poll except to see how high up the also-rans would get. ---

I struggled with the earlier cheese match-ups, but as it came down to the wire, I just considered which cheese I use most. It’s cheddar, hands down. Of course, this was made simpler by the fact that I have two or three types of cheddar in the fridge at all times. As for the pockets, now that I’m retired, I now almost exclusively wear stretchy elastic-waist pants. Most of them do have pockets, but I don’t dare put anything heavier than tissues in them - certainly not keys or a cellphone - for fear they’ll just sag right down to my knees. ---

Aw, boring old cheddar wins. It’s o.k. for casseroles, but I don’t like it as an eating cheese (like with cheese and crackers). I love harvarti with a tiny dollop of chutney on a cracker. Yum. And after boring cashews wins? Eh. As for Starbursts, I know what they are, but I don’t eat them. If I were offered one I might take it, but it’s not a candy I have much interest in – whatever the flavor. Cherry is fine. =================================================== Heh, must not be any Brits in the brand-name poll. Hoover is currently at 0%. ---

My favorite cheese to cook with are extra sharp cheddar (no color please), Parmigiano Reggiano, and Gruyère cheeses. I don’t understand why people think Emmentaler is the only Swiss cheese, when the lovely Gruyère also comes from Switzerland. It’s so much more versatile and has a mild, nutty flavor on its own. I don’t even count starbursts as candy. I agree on the brand names poll because, bubble wrap. Also, other items I didn’t vote for got a 100% response.
