This, I can agree with but in summer, even a grilled cheese (which I love) cannot touch a good BLT with quality ingredients. A note on the polling in general. I suffer from episodic depression and right now, my bout is so bad that I can’t even vote in most of these polls because my brain is chasing its tail like a squirrel or dog. I’ll get back to it later. Right now, I can only find Dukes on Amazon or go for a helluva drive. I do just fine with Trader Joe’s organic mayo. ---

I use Duke’s and prefer it to Hellman’s. ---

Interesting. So far, 1 out of every 4 men would like to have been a woman, while only 1 out of every 9 women would have liked to have been a man. Not the ratio one might expect. ---

Miracle Whip is not mayonnaise. (I don’t have a mayo preference, but I definitely have a preference between mayonnaise and Miracle Whip.) ---

When I was a kid my mom always bought Miracle Whip. So I grew up thinking I didn’t like mayo, because back then I didn’t realize there was a difference. At some point as an adult I started to realize I actually do like mayo. And then it finally clicked – actually, I just don’t like Miracle Whip. I mean, it is possible my tastes just changed as I grew up, but I still don’t like Miracle Whip. ---

Wikipedia calls Miracle Whip a “mayonnaise substitute.” Looks to me like it’s basically mayonnaise with corn syrup and a little mustard and garlic added. I doubt if I’d be able to tell it apart from regular mayo in a blind taste test. ---

Miracle whip has some acid, so it tastes very different from mayonnaise. I don’t love either, and if there’s too much mayo I’ll either scrape most of it off or take a pass on the food item. But i like miracle whip as much as mayo. ---

Maya, Aztec, Inca, Olmec. Not exactly lighthearted when you realize all of these were despotic empires. I went with Olmec, just because it’s the only one that cannot conclusively be proven to have practiced human sacrifice. ---
