I’m not that great at catching things in general, never have been, so with no warning the odds of me catching whatever are near zero. OTOH I’m not that bad at hacky sack, so I could probably at least knock it down then kick it or knee it, possibly back up to myself depending on what it was. ---

I posted the poll because, once I walk in the door, I cannot wait to unburden myself from most of the stuff that is attached to me. I see there are no votes for watch yet. Back when I wore one, that was the first thing to come off (which, I guess, is why I stopped). Never was much for wearing hats. Keys, wallet, phone, shoes, socks…it’s all gotta go. And if I wore a bra? That thing would get unhooked as I was pulling into my garage. mmm ---

I don’t feel particularly “burdened” by any of the things listed, although, like @puzzlegal, I don’t normally wear hats, and if it were winter I would take off my coat (and any other winterwear, like winter hat or gloves). ---

Once I’m in the door, I drop my purse and depending on the weather, hang up my coat. Regardless of the weather, my next stop is the bathroom. On my way there I divest myself of my jewelry (always engagement ring, often earrings and sometimes another ring or bracelet). Any clothing changes happen after visiting the bathroom. ---

If i go out, i always take some sort of jacket/coat, in the pockets of which are keys, wallet, cash & mobile (and a couple of other things). I only need those if i’m going out, so when i get back home, i just take off the jacket. And i assume Eyelasses is a typo and not some sort of service we don’t get here in the uk ! ---

In from the field, or in from having gone to town? If in from the field: hat if I was wearing one, probably shoes, probably tools/irrigation connectors/other miscellaneous that I picked up or was using outside and forgot to ditch out of my pockets into the appropriate barn while I was out there. If in from having gone to town: wallet, watch, and keys, and any paperwork I was carrying. Maybe shoes, depending on what shoes I had on. I might change clothes, so I don’t mess up the town clothes; I’ll probably at least change the shirt (or the outer shirt if in layers) before eating or cooking anything, so I don’t worry if I spill something on it. Having succeeded in finding one style of bra that’s relatively comfortable, I don’t generally take it off until bedtime. I go in fear of its disappearing from the market. Since I got the heart diagnosis and got a phone sturdy enough to survive staying with me, I keep the phone on me whenever I’ve got clothes (and therefore pockets) on, except when charging it. The closest thing to a work badge I’ve ever worn is a conference name tag. That happens rarely ehough that I tend to forget I’ve got it on, and may not notice it until whatever shirt it’s attached to gets put into the washing machine. ---

I wasn’t happy when my company made wearing an id mandatory, but since it was also a key card for getting into buildings or different parts of buildings, I always wore it. ETA: The first thing I take off when I get home is my sunglasses, because I’m nearly always wearing them when I go out - even on overcast days. I voted for “other” because they weren’t prescription which is where I’d put “Eyelasses.” ---

Company policy is that you’re not supposed to wear your work ID badge while out in public, and I don’t think that’s an uncommon policy. So the badge comes off when I get in my car to go home, even if I plan to go straight home without stopping anywhere. If I’m wearing a hat, that comes off, so I picked that even though I don’t often wear hats. Shoes always come off. Socks come off in the summer, but in the winter they usually stay on. Keys and wallet come out of my pockets, but I keep my phone on me until bed time. ---

Nobody wears their badge at my work. Everyone has a CAC and the badges are just an obsolete relic of past policies. They’re not even valid for any practical reason; they won’t let me on the base with just that, and that was basically its only real function. ---

Even when we were supposed to wear the company badge, it was uncommon and i never did. Now we aren’t even supposed to. My badge lives in my wallet, except when i take it out to badge into the office. Then it immediately goes back into my wallet so i won’t lose it. ---

Re: being happy about other teams losing. This was definitely the case when I was younger: I hated (or, at least, strongly disliked) the Bears, Vikings, and Cowboys in football, and the Yankees in baseball, to the point that I suppose I probably did actively root against them. Now, I’m mellower about sports in general than I used to be: I don’t live or die by what the Packers or the Brewers do anymore, and I really don’t hate (or even dislike) their rivals anymore ---
