I’m surprised how many character names I knew immediately! The only one I didn’t is from a book I haven’t read. Now I’ll have to read A Confederacy of Dunces (after I watch DS9). ---

The only name i recognise in the list containing Fiona Phillips is Fiona Philips. Is it the UK journalist / tv presenter ? ---

These name polls without “none of them” is only telling you "of the people who recognize at least one of these names, how many others do you recognize. " You’re missing out on some number who don’t know any of the names. It could be that the number this category is far greater than the participants. ---

How is Harriet Quimby considered a scientist? AFAIK she is known for having been an aviatrix or journalist. Unless there’s another Harriet Quimby. ---

I am that annoying person that will strike up a conversation in the right circumstances…on a plane, or in an elevator, but will also cease if there’s no interest. On the other hand, I used to travel a lot for work and had to go out to dinner with a ton of people, and I could be outgoing for a while, but after a while it kind of burned me out, and I needed to go back to my hotel room and do something quiet. So, modest extrovert. ---

Often though, it’s because I’m nervous and don’t want people to pigeonhole me as the introvert I am. Also, Covid isolation taught me that I am better off with some interaction. I’ve learned to play outgoing well, I can’t be outgoing all the time. I absolutely need to retreat to my shell. ---

Introvert, on the more extreme end. I do need some degree of socializing to maintain my mental health, and I like people quite a lot, however, I \*really" like being alone. With a husband on a hybrid schedule and a child, that happens so rarely these days. I’m the sort of person that may appear standoffish at first because I am really shy around people I don’t know well, but once you get to know me I’m warm and conversational. I LOVE extraverts because they do all the hard work for me. So if I meet an extraverted person we may hit it off right away. They also draw me out of my shell a bit. ---

Sorry folks was using an alphabetized list from some website, not much to choose from in the “Q’s”. Other than the rare letters I tried to choose people I myself was aware of. Not going to argue to justify Kinsey either. ---

I’m an introvert that taught myself to talk to people. Being put in leadership positions in the Army at a young age and then being a police officer meant I had to be able to communicate. No room for shyness. ---

Yeah, I’m a “real” introvert. I’m fine at socializing, and I enjoy it, but it drains me, and I need to retreat to re-charge. I’m not a misanthropic hermit. I used to give blood often. I worked for L.A. County for seven years, and they had the bloodmobile twice a year. At my next job the bloodmobile came quarterly. I gave blood nearly every time with no issue. I had so little problem with it that I became a regular pheresis (sp?) donor for a number of years. ---

There’s a part of that - introversion - which is neutral. It’s not good or bad, just the way I am. And I like it. But there’s another part of that - anxiety in social situations - which I could do without. ---

The introvert may or may not like being around people, they may or may not be good at social interaction, but they find it emotionally draining/tiring, and they need alone time to regenerate. Whereas the extrovert is energized by being around people (and lots of sensory input). By this definition, I’m unquestionably an introvert. ---

I just sift through all of their invites and go to as many as I can handle. I miss out on a lot of stuff like friends from out of town showing up randomly at events, but at least I’m in the loop to hear about it later. 🤷 ---

I can’t remember if I was in a union when I worked for L.A. County when I first got out of college. I thought I might have been, but I honestly can’t remember. I do know that when I worked for the utility company, I was not in a union, but our (the non-union peeps’s) benefits were negotiated by the unions. ---

I’ve never been in a union, but my wife has been in the teachers union since I first met her. They saved her butt a few times when she didn’t get along with her principal.
