I have an iPhone so of course I have Siri. Don’t really use it. We have an echo in a box. So I guess other is the answer. ---

Other: do not have and, at least in their current form, do not want. My enthusiasm for using a long-distance communication requiring a whole shitload of off-site technology and going through third parties unknown to me in order to turn on a light is, I’ll just say, definitely negative. [ETA: yeah, I know this post does the same thing. But online discussions don’t work without it. The light switch does.] ---

I understand what you’re saying, but I like the ability to be 400 miles away and turn the driveway lights on for my kid who’s coming to let the dog out. ---

OK, I’m confused. How can you be long-haired and bald at the same time? A long-haired wig, maybe? Or are you counting partially-bald people as entirely bald? ---

I agree with that. There are some people who, the more bald they get on top, the more they grow out that remaining hair over their ears and at the backs of their necks. David Crosby had a little of that late in the game. ---

I’m just paranoid enough not to want any kind of digital assistant device that’s listening to me _all the time_. Hell, the Roku keeps suggesting I should talk to the remote instead of pressing buttons, and I won’t even do that.
