I tend not to differentiate. [I attend random religious services for fun](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/my-religious-tourism/921011) , so it wouldn’t occur to me to skip the ceremony. And i don’t think I’ve ever been invited to one without the other. Well, except for couples who eloped but then got dragged into receptions anyway.
