I pronounce “mauve” as “mawv.” I have no idea if that’s the standard pronunciation, but the vowel sounds like “awe,” not “ah” or “oh.” ---

I don’t use ChatGPT, but I use whatever the Microsoft AI version is, I can’t remember the name of it. It’s pretty useful for coding. ---

I sometimes screw around with ai, but when i do, I’ve been using the Google one. I haven’t done anything useful with it, though. ---

I pronounce “mauve” with the CAUGHT vowel, so I said “some other way”. I was surprised it wasn’t an option, but perhaps the poll writer has the COT-CAUGHT merger, so doesn’t distinguish between them. ---

My pronunciation depends on who I’m talking to and why I am mentioning mauve, as this is not a color I mention very often. My default English merges COT/CAUGHT, but I talk to a lot of non-native English speakers. I tend to enunciate more when when talking to non-native English speakers compared to talking with my childhood friends. ---

I don’t use ChatGPT but I use the Google version, Gemini. It’s useful for generating short pieces of Python code that I use in my work. ---

“Muave” had a diphthong vowel. I pronounce it something like “ooh-awe”. ---
