We almost always have at least one cat on the bed with us. They disturb my sleep about as much as having to get up to go to the bathroom does - I’m semiconscious as I do what I gotta do and then resettle in bed. Every so often I get what I call catflashes. Being a woman of a certain age, my internal furnace runs a lot hotter than it used to. Add four or five micro-furnaces to that over the top of the light bedspread and I very quickly overheat. I have no guilt in gently booting them off me, and generally I’m back asleep as soon as I cool down a little. I went to sleep last night with nine cats and a husband. 🙂 ---

I sleep with 0 to 4 cats on the bed, depending. Only a “problem” when Kami claims the center of the bed and will. not. move! ---

I have a screenshot of my open water cert on my phone that I use if I go diving somewhere that wants to see it. I got Advanced thru NAUI, & they were “Download our app to access your certificate” I have a firm belief that I will only download apps that benefit me, not the app provider. I haven’t dove anywhere that needed to see my advanced (vs. just open water) so I have yet to bother downloading their app. My baby gurl lives with my SO, she will sleep where my feet go. If I’m there I try to get in bed first & then she’ll find room on the bed; however, if she gets into bed first & I try to move her, she will frequently get off the bed & lie in her own bed so I’ll lie on the bed in some contorted position so I can sleep with her. ---

If my high schools ever had reunions, they did not communicate that fact to me. I would have gone if invited, but at each 5 / 10 / whatever marker, I forget to look into it. Edit: cats are banned from our bedroom, but when I or **Mr. Mallard** become ill, I am also banned from the bedroom, at which point I sleep with cats. Other than being awakened a few times by nose licking, I sleep fine. ---

I enjoyed the 10-year and 20-year reunions. The 30-year reunion was organized via Facebook, so I didn’t hear about it until afterward. The 40-year is coming up, and I’m still not on Facebook. ---

I went to my 10th reunion and it was OK. My graduating class was 660, and maybe 100 of us attended. There were a handful of people I was happy to see and enjoyed talking to, and the rest were essentially strangers. Haven’t been to any reunions since. ---

Well, he’s mildly allergic to cats and I am not, so it’s not as unfair as it seems! Only one of us can breathe when lying on the cathair-covered pillows of the spare room. (We do clean in there, but it’s the cats’ room, so there tends to be ambient cat-ness.) (ETA: After a sudden onset of the blahs, when I didn’t feel like changing pillowcases, I discovered this mild superpower: even quite a bit of cat hair has no effect.) ---

I got my Sports Diver with BSAC, (PADI regard this as AOW equivalent although BSAC require you to have rescue to be regarded as SD equivalent, it includes a Nitrox qualification). I keep that in my wallet in case I need to show anything. On one occasion in the Phillipines they did not know SD includes Nitrox so I had to log onto my BSAC account where Nitrox is listed as a seperate qualification. ---

My cat likes to come sleep next to me at night, at least during the cooler months; his desire to sleep in my bed seems to be temperature dependent. I sleep fine. The only issue is that often somehow during the night he ends up in the middle of the bed, and I end up at the edge of the bed. Sometimes this results in me sleeping in an awkward position to avoid laying on the cat, and also avoid falling off the bed. ---

I no longer have a cat. When I did, she slept on my bed… until 5 AM, when she’d start batting my nose to feed her. I’ve been to my ten-year reunions. I’m always pleasantly surprised by people who seem genuinely pleased to see me. I always thought I was an asshole in high school, but last reunion, one fellow said I was always nice to him. ---

At least it ought to be optional, as it acknowledges you might not know it. Whether it actually is optional is going to depend on whether whoever designed the form had their brain in gear at the time. If the intention is to refuse to let people register who don’t have the code, then the form should mark it as required and tell you where to go to get one. ---

I was out of touch with people so I didn’t hear about the earlier reunions. I went to the 20th and had a good time. I went to the 25th and was single and had a very good time. 30 and 35 didn’t happen. The one who organized the earlier ones didn’t do anything for those and no one took up the baton. 40 is supposed to be coming up this year. I don’t know if there will be enough interest. ---

I have seen this on several online job applications: _Are you over 18? yes/no. If under 18 have you done this thing? yes/no._ And you have to answer. Sometimes “N/A” will work, try it. ---

That sort of thing is one reason I do forms on paper whenever possible. On paper I can skip things, and/or write things in that aren’t any of the given choices. Which, I suppose, is one reason so many places are trying to push me to do things online; so nobody has to try to read what I wrote in. N/A ought to be clear enough, though, and is what I use when Not Applicable is applicable.
