It also depends on the person looking at the head. I almost always think hair looks better. I generally like a bad comb over more than a shaved head. I’m probably in the minority on this, but tastes very. And i think a shaved head looks worse than a naturally bald head, because i have associations with “skin heads”. Your grooming choices should make you happy, though. Maybe ask your significant other’s opinion, too. And then ignore everyone else. ---

I chose to interpret “used the toilet on” to mean allowing a body excretion, rather than a specifically designed receptacle for said excretion. For a boat that means aiming over the side. Some other conveyance was a panel truck with a gallon jug in the back 🙂 ---

Speaking of boats, I’ll need to amend my answer if that includes ships. I was on a 3 or 4 day Alaska ferry from Washington to Sitka. Although I have no memory of using the facilities, it’s very likely that I did. ---

I know a Dope poll is not at all a scientifically run representative survey sample of the population at large. But I’m still surprised that 58% of respondents said they had used shrooms, acid, ketamine, mescaline or some other such substance. The Dope is mostly in the 1950s-1970s age demographic. Was hallucinogen usage that common back in that time? ---

In the 1950’s? only in limited social groups, I think, though I might just have been a clueless kid. In the 1970’s? Hell yes. In some groups also in parts of the '60’s. ---

I meant that to mean used an actual, proper toilet. Peeing in a bottle doesn’t count. That was precisely why I phrased it as “used the toilet” rather than “urinated or defecated”. ---

My neurologist at the time figured that since I had made it to the age of thirty-two without any problems and no one really noticing (except the occasional “you’ve got a big head”), it was better not to do anything. ---

Hmm. It might be fun to be a cat a few hours a day. I wonder what it would feel like to get my belly rubbed or my head or ears scritched as a cat? Playing with my tail could be diverting. There are also some nights when I suspect I’d sleep better as a cat than as a [checks self] human. So far at least, fortunately, I’ve had no teeth knocked out and no bones broken my entire life, although I’ve come close a few times. “Xavier” starts with a Z-sound when I say it aloud. That’s how I’ve always heard it. As to saving lives: some fellow Scouts and I performed CPR on an older man who suffered a heart attack while visiting our summer camp. An ambulance came pretty quickly and IIRC he pulled through. I’ve warned pedestrians about fast-oncoming cars a few times, and broke up a fight once that could have turned ugly. I suspect some of the criminal law cases I’ve handled haven’t resulted in homicides because of what I did. And once, on the Outer Banks, I was able to swim ashore while towing two of my little boys after we got caught in a bad rip current. I think I may have saved all three of our lives that day. ---

Depends on how soon I’m re-using the plate, what I’m using it for, and whether I did a batch of dishes inbetween – I don’t do dishes right away every time after eating, but when I do wash a batch I’ll pretty much sweep up whatever’s around. And if it’s been sitting there a while I may not reuse it because I’m not sure by then what’s been on it – I don’t bother memorizing what plate I used for the crackers and which one had the thawing meat on it. ---

I typically reuse plates even when they’ve had wet food on them… by the time I need them again whatever was there before has dried. (The joys of being single!) As for time-sharing being a cat: the ability to lick one’s own genitals could be a plus, but I’ll reserve judgement on that point! 😱😂 ---

In general, if I’m eating something dry that would only leave a few crumbs, I’ll use a paper towel instead.
