I think my two cups of coffee a day are more like 10 oz than 12 oz, but close enough. ---

My investments have not done well in the past few weeks, but it hasn’t been disastrous. Yet. I’ve owned five cars, by my count, but I’ve leased the last three. My top three favorite accents: English (I interpreted that as RP), Australian and Irish. I could listen to those accents all day long. I have no objection to any of the others, though. Just seeing a family happily reunited with a missing pet would be reward enough. I might suggest they give the $200 to the local animal shelter, though. I like coffee a lot, both smell and taste (strong, sweet and black, just like my Communications officers), but actually don’t drink it all that often. I sometimes go weeks without having any. I’ve never been able to make it at home to my satisfaction, so when I get it, it’s usually at a coffeeshop or after a meal in a restaurant. If I have more than two cups at a time, my hands start to shake. But I love coffee-flavored ice cream and candy, too. I’ve listened to a handful of podcasts, including _Serial_ on criminal justice issues and _Bag Man_ on Spiro Agnew’s downfall, and liked them, but usually prefer listening to audiobooks or music. Several family members and friends of mine have taken part in the recent anti-Trump protests, and if I were in a different job I’d be right there with them. Say no more. ---

That wasnt your question- _“How many 12-oz cups of coffee, on average, would you estimate you drink per day?”_ that would be zero for me. But I do like an occasional mocha from a good coffee place , like Peets. But my average would be like one a month. I drink tea- usually iced. ---

On the coffee poll, I went with one, which is indeed the average. I normally have a single (10oz) cup of French press coffee every morning. A few (2-3) times a week I’ll have another via reusable K-cup, but my second caffeine infusion normally comes from tea. And about once a week, I’ll have a cup of decaf as a late night mechanism to mix with the alcohol of my choice. ---

When I was my kid, we always had a can of Constant Comment tea around. I loved the smell, but man did it taste terrible (to me). ---

I like the smell of coffee. I like things that are mildly flavored with coffee. I don’t like the beverage. My preferred caffeine delivery systems are tea, soda pop, and chocolate. ---

OK fine just to make y’all happy, I DID try it, when I was a tween. About gagged. Had the same reaction to beer, and hard liquor. The smell is ok, in _very_ light concentrations. ---

Few believe me when I tell them this, but I grew up drinking coffee with breakfast from the age of six or so. Every morning before school, toast with peanut butter and a cup of coffee\* mmm (\*fortified with sugar and milk, but coffee nonetheless) ---

I’m indifferent to the smell of coffee. I certainly don’t like it, but I wouldn’t say I hate it. The taste however is horrible. The few times I’ve tasted coffee, it tasted like badly burnt toast, with an extra shot of bitter. My coffee-drinking friends don’t understand how I can’t like it. A friend once got some nitrogen something something coffee at a concert and was raving about it. “Mark, you’ve got to try this! It’s great! You’ll love it even though you don’t like coffee!” I took a sip. Yep, it tasted like coffee. Tea is tolerable but I don’t seek it out or drink it regularly. When I was a kid and my parents would take me to a Chinese restaurant, I liked the tea. But that’s because I would add about 3 tablespoons of sugar to each cup. ---

They simply refuse to believe that I find the taste unpleasant, and assume I’m going about my consumption wrong. No: I just dislike the flavor. No cremains in the house at the moment. If you had asked that question a few weeks ago, the answer would have been “one person”. Mom wanted her ashes scattered in a specific place. It took us a while to make arrangements for it.
