Parking - my normal lot has angled spaces, so I park where I can pull out and go straight to the end and turn right to the lane _exiting_ the park, without having to go around in circles and/or make a left turn considering the sheer number of people going in and/out and crazy drivers. Otherwise, it’s the first available spot in said lane. It also tends to be _further_ out from the entrances, so less packed. So I qualified for a couple of answers. For the cash, well, like @puzzlegal, I wanted to say “stay the hell away!” but that’s not really an option in the poll. In this day and age, it’s so darn easy to set up covert, long lasting cameras, that I’d be _extremely_ worried that there was something (or someone) watching that money. Since the poll postulated you taking it, I’d immediately contact the cops, trusting that it’s better I don’t have it on me, and perhaps secure a minor reward. Plus, we have no way of knowing if it’s marked, sequential, counterfeit… just too many ways to go wrong. ---

I always said if a mobster _really_ wanted to get someone, they wouldn’t whack the guy who borrowed they money , they’d whack their loved one so the non-payor would have to deal with the pain of loss. What an incentive to make them pay up before losing someone else close to them. Could be the same answer for the assassin poll ---

When I was a teen, I did a bad thing at work, and the boss told me he could fire me, except then I would not have a job and he would have a much harder time getting me to pay for fixing the damage. The same principle would be at play for CosaNostraBank. ---

I’d tell my assassin buddy that I want the “reverse Uno” option: if anyone ever hires him to kill me, that he kills them instead. Similarly for the guitar gig, I’d choose the criminal biker gang on the off-chance they give me a pass if I’m ever midst a situation that they are involved in. Sometimes it’s helpful to be on good terms with people like that… ---

Band gig - I was in prison once; after two hrs I got back on the bus & went back to school - Scared Straight worked as I haven’t been back since!\* I always love going places I can’t go as a member of the general public. I can’t otherwise get into prison (well, not without a lot of bad consequences 😢 ) \* except for a number of _former_ prisons; but they were all photo ops. ---

I asked only because I live near the Platte River next door in Nebraska-or should I say **a** Platte River?-I was hoping there was another Doper nearby. I doubted it was my Platte River because no one could drown in it without trying really really hard. The gag around here is that the Platte River is a mile wide and an inch deep. ---

I’m surprised that so many of us don’t mind being woken up at five in the morning. Or is it that a lot of us live in places where there’s so much traffic at that hour that they wouldn’t notice? The person posting in that poll specified that they live where it was quite noticeable. ---

I voted it’s too early, because i think it’s probably too early for the delivery person. But i wouldn’t be awakened by someone dropping a package on my doorstep. I rarely notice it happening during the day when I’m home. ---

I’m a pretty sound sleeper, and although I live on a pretty quiet street, I can’t imagine being woken up by a car driving by or even pulling into my driveway. Maybe a chainsaw or leaf blower, but not a car. I also don’t have an ~~annoying overexcitable noise-making creature~~ dog.
