Yep. Somehow my Econ students weren’t impressed when I showed them I was a multibillionaire (in Zimbabwean dollars.) You can get a full set of bills on eBay, cheap. ---

I wasn’t aware of Kirk by name, but I’d often get his Turning Point postings in my YouTube “community” area. (I posted trolling comments there on occasion…) It was enough to dial down my empathy for him by an order of magnitude when I found out “oh, he’s the ‘Turning Point’ guy?!?” after the news hit. Can’t argue with Karma, after all! ---

I saw the breaking news when it was being reported that he had been (just) shot. I had to look up the name; not surprised I didn’t recognize him given what he did. ---

I didn’t recognize Kirk’s name. I’m really bad with names, so i might have seen it. I feel like he was important enough that i should have seen it, and maybe should have recognized it. ---

Re: beans on a chili dog, it matters very little, if at all, to me. But I chose “Beans” because the anti-bean crowd can be quite passionate; my choice in the poll simply means “beans are allowed.” ---

_Mein Kampf_ was required reading for a class I took in college. My professor was considerate enough to arrange for us to purchase spiral bound copies from Kinkos that only had the name of the class on the cover. ---
