I switch between mocs, Crocs, and socks when I’m at home. As for hot dogs, give me a Polish sausage with kraut and yellow mustard or a Hebrew National dog with brown mustard and relish. Keepany and all raw onions far from my food, thanks. ---

NO BEANS!!! Chicago dogs are an affront to well, everything. A NYC dirty water dog or a Detroit coney are much better presentations of hot dog goodness. But a dog HAS TO HAVE onions and mustard to get near my face. ---

About half the dogs on that list I was going to downvote, but I was reading them to my wife and it turns out I’d eaten most of them and really liked them. ---

I wish the poll was North American rather than just US. Then I could have chosen a… **Vancouver Japadog** : Kurobuta pork, onions, teriyaki sauce, Japanese mayonnaise, and seaweed. or a… **Mexico City Guac Dog** with guacamole, pico de gallo, crushed Takis for crunch, and crumbled cotija cheese ---

At home I am usually barefoot, or sometimes wearing socks. However just a couple days ago during my annual physical I was discussing some chronic toe pain due to arthritis with my doctor. He recommended that I wear something with support, like Birkenstocks, in the house. I’m not happy about it but I guess I’ll start doing that. ---

Seattle and Atlanta hot dogs. I don’t need no cream cheese, period. I’ll take some cole slaw on the side and be happy about it, but I don’t want it on the dog along with the other stuff. The Sonoran, I’d see that it has mayo and look for something else on the menu. I might be persuaded, though, if I was with someone who said, “I’ll pay for it if you’ll try it.” What the heck, right? ---

Two regional New Jersey hot dogs were missed. The Italian hot dog is a deep fried hot dog placed in an Italian roll or pizza bread topped with fried peppers, onions and potatoes. The Ripper doesn’t have unique toppings but it is deep fried until the casing rips and is crispy. Usually with relish and mustard. ---

All but one of the hotdogs on the list come with mustard, so that’s an automatic “no.” ---

But a Chicago dog has sweet pickle relish {nasty stuff), peppers AND onions, so that is often too many things to have not put on- and have them get it right. Yeah, for someone to say that ketchup is too sweet to put on a hot dog and then put sweet pickle relish on it (as I have witnessed) is pretty dumb. ---

I don’t like ketchup, but put whatever you like on your hot dog. Why on earth would I care? I didn’t choose “DC half smokes” because as described they _sound_ good. But, having actually consumed many of them, they are NOT spicy. Even where they have ‘mild’ and ‘hot’ varieties the hot ain’t hot 🙂 ---

This. Hot dogs should be hot. Cole slaw should be cold; putting them together ruins both. I will eat hot dogs & cole slaw from the same plate, but not in the same bite.
