Tell them I’ll come in with the frames when they have the correct lenses, and they can put them into the frames on the spot. It only takes a few minutes. ---

1. Never, ever use that optician again. 2. Get the prescription and order a pair of glasses from [Zennioptical.com](http://Zennioptical.com), you’ll have them next week 3. Optionally find a different optician to make you a pair of glasses in addition. First optician is sooo fired. 4. Do NOT pay for the “works with my computer but nothing else” pair of glasses. This is a fuckup and shouldn’t be charged. OK, maybe they can charge you for the frames. Steeply discounted. Shame on them. ---

I’m retired so I voted according to the job I just left. We get no holidays off. The city never sleeps. Ok the suburbs sleep but we still had to work. All support staff are off for any federally recognized holiday. ---

Some list of beneficiaries; but most of that huge amount going to one or more foundations, which I would have started work on setting up as soon as I somehow came into all that money, and which would have instructions as to how to disburse it. Actually they’d already have most of it – both the foundations and the individual beneficiaries. The only thing I can think of to do with more than 208 billion would be to give most of it away, and why should my beneficiaries need to wait, especially if they’d be waiting in poverty? ---

That was my “other” answer, as well. And no way do i wait until my death bed to set it up. I keep enough to care for my immediate family, but that’s a tiny fraction of the total. ---

I’ve got a better one on the stupid-incompetent-optician front: my friend ordered a pair of glasses, went in to pick them up, couldn’t do so much as read a license plate with them. Optician insists they are correct. Friend insists they are not. Lightbulb appears over optician’s head: _flip the glasses upside down and try again_! Seriously. And that worked! (Luckily the lenses were single vision.) _They had installed the lenses backwards, left for right, right for left._ Idiots. ---

I voted that I’d keep half the money. Giving away 104 billion is pretty damn generous - it would do a lot of good and make me feel good about myself. And yeah, the 104B I have left is still more than I can spend in 10 lifetimes, but that’s kind of the point. The fantasy is to never have to think about money at all, and be able to buy and do and go whatever and wherever I want without regard to the price tag, for the rest of my life. And I’d essentially be giving all the rest of it away anyhow; people will just need to wait a few years until I’m dead. At which time, to the other question, I’ll split it among relatives, friends, and charities. No particular number in mind, but “a few dozen” sounds about right. ---

The two most successful items I bought at highway gas station quickie marts on road trips were chili-cheese Fritos and sandies pecan cookies. I’d _never_ let anyone eat Cheetos in my car. Which is why it surprised me that chocolate candy bars were so high in the responses. No chocolate in my car either. ---
