Zima wasn’t a soft drink (which was what those polls were about). It was an alcoholic “cooler”/alcopop, and was a forerunner of drinks like Mike’s Hard Lemonade and Smirnoff Ice. ---

Somewhere in the house I have my mother’s old aluminum drip pot. It doesn’t need a filter. But I usually use a Chemex filter in an old Chemex holder whose glass bottom broke years ago; but it fits pretty well on an old porcelain on metal coffee boiler pot. ---

It probably doesn’t have wide distribution anymore, and it would not surprise me to learn that only certain local Coca-Cola bottlers even carry it. IIRC, it was a grapefruit-citrus flavor; if your stores carry [Squirt](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squirt_(drink)) (which comes in a zero-sugar variety), it might be close in flavor. ---

Where is cafetiere the default for a moka pot in English? First time we visited Italy we rented an apartment (VRBO), and it came with a moka pot. It was the first time I had seen one, but my mother knew how to use it. We bought one then, and bought a new one when we got an induction stove. Don’t use it very often - I should get it out again. ---

Today is the first time I have ever heard the term Moka pot. It turns out that a cafetiere is actually a French press. Ignorance fought. So yes, I meant moka pot not cafetiere. ---

I mostly order some type of latte or macchiato at coffee shops. At home we use instant coffee and an electric kettle for water. A discontinued drink that I would try is Pepsi AM. It was discontinued in 1990 (according to Wikipedia), when I was two years old. I would prefer a Coke AM, though. ---

This American never heard of the term ‘moka pot’ until today, and I wouldn’t know what to call it if I ever ran across one. The coffee shop poll used terms that all sound like Starbucks names to me. My order is always “coffee”. If they ask about cream and sugar (which only happens if it’s to-go, or not already on the counter/tables) I say “no thanks, black please”. ---
