And far, far better than the later Jason Statham film of similar title. As is often the case with 1970s films, it’s more about society and the human condition than just violent action (see also: _Rollerball_).

He was in _Massacre at Central High_ but apparently I’m the only person who’s seen that. Which surprises me in the opposite way of _Logan’s Run_; I would have expected it to be higher on the vote list. It’s a decent cult movie and an interesting take of the revenge genre.

I never been to a record store.
When really started paying attention to music with the arrival of mp3, before that I Iiked it, I asked my parents to buy me a cassette or two but it was mostly an aftertought.
When mp3 arrived I could sample a lot of music at will and know who had created it without waiting for the song to end and I developed a closer relationship to it.
But by then it was easier and err… cheaper… to just download the music than to go to a record store.

I don’t do public polls, so no votes from me in that one.
Record store day - morning radio did a bit on it a couple of weeks ago. (Locally) famous DJ suddenly passed away last year; some radio store owner bought his collection from the estate & was going to be selling them off in her store. I never was a big record person so buying a used one that I don’t think will keep it’s provenance (Hey, remember that DJ who died 10 years ago, it was his; just ask the record store that I bought it from {that is no longer there}); besides the fact that I was otherwise busy on Sat.
As for why to buy media; because it might disappear or be altered. Even in some Disney movies either have scenes deleted or are no longer in circulation because something that may have been acceptable 60 years ago is not allowed anymore & they don’t want their name sullied by association with it & that’s separate from which streaming service (which you undoubtedly don’t otherwise subscribe to) owns the rights to it.

Exactly - the music on my CD is _mine_. I can listen to it for how long I want on whatever player. Jeff Bezos does not get to dictate what I own.
ETA - The artist also earns more royalties from physical media buys.

You can buy digital media and copy it to your own storage, where it will be safe.

Happened to see a flyer for the street food festival right next to a flyer for Record Store Day, so I managed to do both on Saturday.
Didn’t find the Porcupine Tree special release, but I did buy a record, which actually came with a CD.

I never bought digital music until they started to sell it DRM-free. Now, when i buy music, i often buy it digitally. And i do store it on my own media.
I have no idea why, but it’s much harder to buy DRM-free ebooks than records. 🥺 So I’ve mostly stopped buying books. Or i buy used hardcopies.
