I had a Duncan yo-yo when I was 11 or so, and sent away for a booklet from Duncan which detailed how to do various tricks.
At that time, I was pretty good at basic yo-yoing (up and down), and I could sometimes do “walk the dog” and “sleep.” I tried playing with a yo-yo a few years ago, and even up-and-down were now challenging. 😉

I was never very good at yo-yoing, but I didn’t really care, so no biggie. When I was pretty young, I could keep a hula hoop going for a fairly long time. Tried it again years later, and nope. My hips had lost their hula ability.

I couldn’t do anything fancy with a hula hoop, but as a child I could keep one going for a while. I don’t know whether I could now.

I could do a Hula Hoop, but not great, some with a Yo-yo- just basic moves.
For some reason the only famous band I saw two shows of- The Grateful Dead- is not on that list.
I saw the Beach Boys rather late in their career.

The Who, Stones, Ramones, Kraftwerk, Talking Heads, Wilco. I really wish I’d seen more of the 70s acts in their heydays..

I have seen none of those bands in concert. The only professional concerts I’ve been to (non-classical - been to plenty of those) were The Eagles in 2009 and Trans-Siberian Orchestra in 2024.

I’ve only seen two of those bands:
- U2, on their “360” tour in 2011; I won tickets for it from a local radio station. I probably would not have gone otherwise, but it was a great show.
- Queen, twice, though with Adam Lambert; I never had a chance to see them with Freddie Mercury (or John Deacon, for that matter).
Looking at that list: Rolling Stone named Franz Ferdinand as one of the top 50 bands of the rock era? Oooookay.

Having graduated high school in 1998, the only band on that list I’ve seen is Pearl Jam.

I’ve seen a few of those bands but some with an asterisk.
The Who and The Rolling Stones played the 121212 Sandy Relief concert. I was there and it was a great show but neither band did a full show. No Keith Moon of course. There was also a band that called itself Nirvana but the lead singer was Paul McCartney so I didn’t count that. Nirvana without Kurt isn’t Nirvana.
Metallica and AC/DC played a festival that was held at my airfield in Germany. Fantastic concert and we were allowed in for free.
I never saw Pink Floyd but I did see Roger Waters perform The Wall at the Berlin Wall.
I saw The Band twice but it was the version without Robbie Robertson. The first time they opened for CSN. The second time they played before the above mentioned Wall concert and also played some backup on a few of the songs Roger Waters performed.
I saw CSN a few times. I saw Y once. I never saw CSN&Y so I didn’t count it.
Deep Purple I saw on the Perfect Strangers tour.

Hooping has continued to exist and has evolved quite a bit since the fad in the 1950s. It’s much more than a kid’s toy nowadays. I’ve seen some very impressive performances at concerts and music festivals.

I selected ‘some other sort of live performance’: I went into a place that had a live sex show. I thought I was going into a basic strip bar. Stuck around long enough to find they were basically shaking down each of the audience members for $20 or so every few minutes just to sit there and watch. It was actually kind of sad and boring, if I recall correctly.

I initially didn’t check “magic show” because honestly the only magic shows I’ve attended were in the school auditorium in elementary school, not any sort of big name magician like you might see in Las Vegas or whatever. But I decided it still counts, if just barely, so I went back and changed my vote.
I’ve been to a couple of rodeos, but IMO those can be lumped in with sporting events.
