It’s incredibly lame that someone wanted to feature a science fiction series at their wedding (even one that’s as good as Discworld is reported to be), but I have to give them credit - they did a great job rendering it in confection form. ---

My wife is a pastry chef and does wedding cakes on the side. I’ve been subjected to years of the Food Network and stacks and stacks (and stacks) of books - both bought and checked out from the library - about cakes and food as art, so I think I’m well qualified to say that this cake is extremely impressive. I wish she was familiar with Discworld so she could appreciate the pictures when I show her, rather than what I expect, which is: _Why are there elephants, standing on a giant turtle’s back, supporting a . . . flat . . . world . . . ?_ ---
