That is a really cool cake, truly a labor of love! I wonder what the gender of the person who made the cake is, male or female? **Chronos** , the page said the elephants had wire frames, and dowel rods which went into the turtle to support the disc. Look again, the dowels would have had to go down into the cake itself, they weren’t sticking up out of the elephant’s backs, and you can see the little wire bit meant to be the tails on the frames. It was structurally sound. ---

Ah, I [see](http://homepages.tesco.net/~janefisk/) the person who made the cake is apparently female. I was wondering if it was a doting father, or doting mother. They went all out when the made that cake, I wonder if they have reached that level of work again? ---

You’re right in that there’s no rule requiring you to agree with the OP, but there is a rule against not being a jerk–one with which you seem to find it difficult to comply. Your thread-shitting and nearly your entire last post in response to **MsWhatsit** was out-of-line for this forum; this isn’t the Pit and your ridiculous personal insults are not welcome. ---

I’d like to know what was used for the coloring. There are of course a wide range of food-grade coloring pastes. These can be blended into fondant, icing, or marzipan. There are also powdered colors that I suppose could be blended with water and painted on. I am envious of the talent that produced that cake. ---

I can hardly avoid coming in to add my “wow” to the roster. I only wish I had the talent to make something that artistic, **Civil Guy** I don’t know if I’d try to make one for a wedding cake, being generally opposed to weddings (not marriage, which I like just fine what with the regular sex without having to date and all that), but I’ve long wanted to have a blow-out Discworld party and you could really get talked about having a cake that cool at the center of the table. ---
