Disgestion Issues - Recommendations?

If you’re older (you mentioned dentures, but also basketball and weightlifting, so I’m not sure), and eating is a big source of pleasure in your life (it sounds like it is), and if you’re unaware of the practice of learning to eat less in your later years (as in stopping before you’re full)… there’s your problem. I’ve always had a delicate stomach, I’ve been to doctors and I’ve tried all different kinds of medicine. My conclusions: (1) Garlic, especially raw garclic, makes my guts really sensitive. While eating, I’ll start to feel full and heavy, and for the next few days there will be a slight dull pain. (2) Eating smaller portions helps greatly. If you’re into weighlifting, you might feel that more food makes you bigger and more powerful. If so, you might want to reconsider your idea of sensible portions. (3) I read that ulcers flare up in spring and autumn. Don’t know if it’s true, but my stomach gets tender every damn spring, so I exercise caution around that time of year. Hope that helps.

ETA: I agree with Mangetout’s post above. I don’t remember if I wrote it down, but it took a long time to figure out that garlic was messing me up.
