My dogs eat poop, then try to give wet lickery kisses.

My roommate’s cat always seems to know when I am going to eat something. She’ll come downstairs wait for me to get my food ready, then when I sit down she’ll come over and park it right in front me. By park it I mean she gets on her back and spreads eagle and aims it RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. Like she is airing it out. I know it could be a lot worse. I just don’t really want to see that, especially when I am eating. She needs to be more of a lady and keep it covered.

I don’t know what dogs see in feline poop. My dog used to munch it all the time but not to much anymore. Now the cat will walk in front of him and he sticks his nose in his butt. He keeps doing it until I tell him to quit.

What the frick is up with the dogs who scoot around on their butts? You’ve seen 'em! They scoot their butt all around on the carpet _SCOOT SCOOT SCOOT_
Butt itch? Wiping off poop? WTF??? They look like their about to orgasm or something: “Oooo… butt… itches… _AHHH_ got… to… SCOOT… _AHHHH_!”.
That is vile!
Also my mom’s dog likes to get sanitary napkins out of the trash. NASTY!!
I have seen a dog munch cat poop and also lap up dog vomit right after heavin’ it up… I really dislike dogs now.

My friend took his new puppy for a drive. Puppy took a big dump on the seat, ate the dump, then puked it all up.

My dog and cat have a very efficient routine. The cat eats her food too fast. She sits around for a while burping, and finally gets up and throws up. The dog immediately comes a’running (her “herka-urka-urka” noises are like a dinner bell to him) and eats the cat vomit while it’s still warm. As disgusting as it is, it does make our cleanup chores a little easier.
And I think older dogs don’t see the litterbox as an h’or doervre tray quite as much as younger dogs do. Which makes me happy…

My dog likes to get into the chicken coop and the henhouse. Not to chase or annoy the chickens, though, but because he likes to eat their crap. Eeew.
I’ve managed to train him not to roll in things. He still _wants_ to, but won’t - he puts his head down and _pretends_ to roll, walking in circles around the stinky temptation, but never makes actual contact. It’s stupidly hilarious to watch.
My previous dog was quite handy to have around with the little kids. Whenever one of the kids got sick, the dog would have the vomit cleaned up in a heartbeat, before I even had a chance to break out a mop.
Oh boy! Hot soup!

My last dog loved to roll in dead things and once found an old dead fish someone had caught and left on the bank of a creek. He rolled in this rotting, decomposing fish until he was completely covered in fish scales. It took one hell of a bath to get that out, and the smell was beyond description. He couldn’t have been happier, though.

I used to fold my laundry and put it in the laundry basket for putting away later. Then my cat got the idea that it was a nice place to throw up. Now I put my laundry away immediately.
My cat also likes to play outside while I’m working in the yard. As I was raking up leaves into piles, I noticed how cute he was hiding in the leaf pile, his little head poking out. When I scooped up the pile however, I got warm cat shit all over the front of me.

I have two male cats, both neutered at a young age (\<2 years). They are about 12 years old now. I’d say somewhere around a year, maybe 2 years ago they started trying to have sex. I can’t even begin to describe the sounds they make. It’s disgusting, funny, and kind of sad, all at the same time.
The funniest part is that one is quite clearly the bitch.

Besides licking himself, my dog is exemplary. He’s now about three and the most disgusting thing he’ll eat is the occasional dirty tissue before we get a chance to throw it out.
Oh, well, sometimes he gets really stinky gas, but that happens to everyone.

I don’t own any pets at this time, I am speaking of situations I have seen over at friends’ and family’s places… their pets. One was this ugly, wretched little poodle with funked up teeth (she was old). She scooted all day long, her owners would tell her to stop but I’d see her out of the corner of my eye, scooting.
As for dogs muching barf or poop, WTF makes them want to eat that vileness? My own vomit is disgusting, I know… I hate throwing up. Why would a dog think that is tasty? Or another pet’s vomit as a treat? Or poo? EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Seeing that I’ve already admitted this in mixed company on several occasions (to varying degrees of ‘Ew…That’s Gross’) I guess I’ll make a contribution:
My Spaniel, [Stinky Dink](http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/johnbuckwld/vwp?.dir=/SDMB&.dnm=The+Stink.jpg&.view=t) (my ex’s dog that I got in the divorce) is a total protein junkie - as evidenced by her shiny coat pictured in the link.
No, I don’t do anything as warped as using Skippy as a canine incentive. She’s only an active participant after-the-fact. She’ll lay in waiting on the floor near my desk in the office whenever she sees me Webcamming or ‘Surfing with one hand.’ The moment following my ‘release,’ she’ll spring up and clean up the floor & surrounding areas as if it was Mop-N-Glo’d.
It’s not like I get some demented thrill from it, it’s just it’s just alot more convenient then cleaning it up myself.

Our dogs would eat each other’s ear wax during these marathon cleaning sessions they’d stage in the evenings. It grossed me out even more than one of the dogs puking up whole macadamia nuts.

I’ve been trying to tell you all this for years! Animals are disgusting! Pay attention, now!
1. Dogs eat cat shit because it looks like Almond Roca. Remember that piece you gave him at Christmas 5 years ago? Well, hes been searching for that tasty treat ever since and because he regularly licks his own ass, cat shit tastes like candy to him.
2. Dogs scoot across the floor because they don’t have hands and can’t wipe thier ass after taking a dump. This is the primary reason I will never allow a filthy dog in my house to wipe his feculent turd-cutter on my carpets and sofa.
3. Dogs lick thier ass for the same reason they scoot. And it might feel good, too for all I know. Ask **Oldscratch**. Either way, its disgusting.
4. As far as the recycling of vomit goes, I haven’t studied on it enough (nor will I) to come up with a good explaination for this behavior. I don’t even want to think about, really.
Now, dogs do these horrible things because they are mostly stupid. Cats, on the other hand, do these things and worse because they are Evil and Vile by nature, and should be eradicated from the face of the planet, before its too late.
