And in _Fatal Attraction_, Glenn Close’s character, Alex Forrest, boils a pet rabbit. I forgot the name of the character so I just searched for it. M.F.K. Fisher discussed this concept in [_An Alphabet for Gourmets_](https://archive.org/details/artofeatingcolle0000fish/page/716/mode/2up). I always took that expression (and it’s companion, “made me want to slap my grandmother”) to mean it would make you so delirious with pleasure that you’d do things you wouldn’t ordinarily do. ---

When I was a kid, the family took a trip to the Oregon coast. We fished for Crabs. You had to measure them and throw back the little ones. Well, one of these Rascals pinched my dad, so he kept him and ate him out of spite. ---
