Are there any dishes you’ve never eaten, but nevertheless believe you’d enjoy? Two I can think of: risotto (while typing realized I recently had it for the 1st time) and paella. Also recently had cioppino for 1st time. ---

Paella is good. If you have ever had real Louisiana jambalaya, they are closely related. I have never had Hasenpfeffer (German rabbit stew) but always wanted to try it since I heard about it on Bugs Bunny. ---

I had chicken mole once in a Mexican restaurant. It was delicious, but I’m not sure how authentic it was. So, something cooked in real mole sauce. Curried haggis. I don’t know if I’ve ever had poutine. I’ve attempted to make it myself, but have no idea how close I got. Still, with three different sources of cholesterol, how can you go wrong? And I’m pretty sure I’d also like haggis. ---

Turducken. (I actually saw them for sale in the freezer at Walmart.) Fried rabbit - they say it’s a lot like chicken, and I have yet to meet the fried chicken I didn’t love. Lobster Thermidore. Steak Diane. Tres Leches cake. (I’ll have a little of each for my last meal, warden). ---

Almost everything Anthony Bourdain eats in No Reservations, especially the street food. Any meat that’s super-fatty, like pigs’ feet. ---

Goulash! I’ve had a few native Hungarians and Poles extol its virtues, but have yet to eat any. I have a recipe, but want to try it prepared by someone who knows how to do it right so I can tell whether my attempt is close to the mark. ---

It is easy enough to make, pickle the bunny in brine for a few days, pat dry, flour and brown, then add strained marinade and stew. Very tasty. It is the bunny version of sauerbraten, more or less. As far as the rich people foods that I have never tried, I know I’d like foie gras, because I love chicken livers and braunschweiger and pate’. On the other hand I feel just the opposite about caviar and real truffles… kind of iffy about how much I might like them, if at all.
