Wow, what diversity. It’s cool to see where everybody is or has been. For the longest time I lived relatively close to home. Born in Buffalo but actually spent most of my life in Maine. For the longest time I hadn’t even been south of Boston or west of Buffalo. I always got so jealous of people who had traveled extensively. I got the idea for this thread in a roundabout way. There was a HS reunion thread, and I got to think of the reunion I attended a few years ago. We had this little contest - who came from farthest away to attend. My best friend had traveled from SF. Another friend of mine traveled from Germany. I traveled 300 miles. I felt like such a slug. Anyway, I need to crow for two reasons. 1 - This is my first two page thread. My little baby is all grown up. {sniff} 2 - I just surpassed 400 posts. I know, I know - post parties suck, and I’m not trying to hijack my own thread, but I just felt the need to say … Woohoo! ---

Born at Memorial Medical Center, 800 North Rutledge Street, Springfield, IL. 1st move: to Macomb, IL. 90 miles away. 2nd move: to Joplin, MO. 400 miles away. 3rd move: to Kashiwazaki, Japan. 6000-ish miles away. 4th move: back to Joplin, MO. 400 miles away. 5th move: to Bourbon, MO. 175 miles away. 6th move: to Loami, IL: 14 miles away. 7th move: to #### XYZ Street, Springfield, IL: maybe 1 1/2 miles away on city streets. ---

They didn’t actually have the city I was born in, or live in now, on that site, but from Osaka, Japan to Tampa, Florida is: 7458 miles (12002 km) (6481 nautical miles) I was actually born in Yokosuka, Japan and live near Lakeland, FL. Do I win any prizes? ---
