Thank you all for your kind words. When you’re in the midst of a crisis like this, you feel like you are the only one in the world that this has happened to.
We missed a call from my B-I-L tonight but he left a message that he was able to get her to her doctor today. The doc concurred that something was wrong but didn’t order any tests yet.
He prescribed her an anti-psychotic medication and a tranquilizer. Apparently sleep deprivation can bring on this kind of a problem too and he wants to rule that out first.
My B-I-L stayed with her last night and she only got about 3 hours of sleep. She was too frightened to sleep.
I feel sorry for my B-I-L, too. He’s just finishing a nasty divorce and now he has to deal with this essentially alone. We can’t fly down there yet because we are the “bad guys”. She’s so scared that if she saw us, she may go permanently off the deep end.
Elenfair, she told my B-I-L that she had reported our attempts to kill her to the sheriff. He called the sheriff’s office and fortunately, they did not have a report on file. He did notify them that she was having a problem so that if they were called, they would have a little bit of background.
5que, my mom died in a similar manner. She was treating for non-Hodgkins lymphoma for a couple of years prior to her death. She started not “feeling well” so I took her to her doctor on a Friday. Her doc admitted her to the hospital with pneumonia. She quickly slipped into a coma and by Tuesday, she was gone. I understand your pain. Just know that it will get better.
Again, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
