Am I the only one excited that they have reunited and are touring? I got some nice tickets to see them when they are in NYC in March. ---

I recall liking them enough back in the day, and I even have an old vinyl copy of **Night of the Living Dregs** somewhere. But I doubt I could be arsed to get up, go into the city, and see them again now. What venue? ---

I still think Steve Morse is the best guitar player in the world. Long ago I saw his solo band at the Stone Pony. I was standing 3 feet away from him watching him play. A couple of years ago I saw Flying Colors. Also a great show. Not so far in the future I’m going to see Rik Emmett with a meet and greet after. ---

Loach, Thanks for, the heads up! I have been a fan for a long time, had “Night of the living Dreggs” on vinyl, now I have it on CD and IMedia. Unsung Heros and Industry Standard got me through 2 Med Cruises and a North Atlantic cruise in the Navy (CGN 38 USS Virginia) Closest they are coming to me (so far) is the Vic Theater in Chicago. /slight hi-jack, I am seeing Leftover Salmon in a couple weeks. I have been a fan of theirs since way back. I got to cook for them several times when I was chef at a Brew Pub/Venue in Carbondale IL. Thanks Again. ---

They aren’t coming near Los Angeles from what I hear, but I would love to see them again. One of my favorites from back in my college days. ---

I first saw Steve at a clinic, Grandmas Music in Albuquerque New Mexico. This was probably 1987 or so. I was absolutely floored. He had his rig with 3 amps and a midi controller. He’d put down a rhytm, loop it, put down a melody and loop it out down a midi line and loop it then solo on top. T’was crazy. I’ve seen the SMB three or four times. Also caught Steve with Steve Vai not too long ago. So the shows rocked, though with Vai i was a bit disappointed. Steve had rather crappy sound and a really small section of the stage. Vai was too loud and rather boring. I have been hunting for new guitarists to listen to and have been quite disappointed. It seems that most players these days lay down a simple rhythm track and just solo. Steve, and a few others like Vinnie Moore, actually write pieces of music and do more than solo. Steve set the bar and it is really high. Slee ---

Steve Morse is okay, although most of the time I feel he’s just playing tumeni notes.
