I love shopping at the local thrift stores for a good bargain. There are three near me and I always find at least a few good things at each one. Even if I buy clothing new, I always go to the sale rack first. I bought every good winter coat I have in late March or early April when they go on sale.

I was so happy I started a [thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=484499&highlight=sideshow) on the subject. It was the best thing I ever found at a thrift store.

If I ever see another one, I’ll pick it up for you.
