You know those things you hear, and you’re never quite sure if they’re true? My Dad used to play a little basketball, just playground and recreation leagues. And he was telling me once about how physical it is under the basket, things you can’t necessarily see from a distance. Elbows and pushing… and, I swear… he said that when a guy is going up for a basket, an opponent will typically make a grab for his balls. To distract him. Now, is this true? Or was there more going on in his league than he realized? ---

Elbows, showing sweaty armpits in faces, things of that nature, yeah. Swinging from a dude’s nuts like a monkey? Probably not. Them’s fightin’ words in playgrounds. ---

An NBA player got caught on video doing this a year or two ago. Sorry I can’t remember the player or team. ---
