I have a question for the black people in this thread, since I don’t know any black people in real life. When listening to music, are we supposed to get up, or get down? James Brown says we need to get up, get on up. But then other times we’re told to get down, get down. How do you know when to get up and when to get down? ---

Milk with dinner, let alone a hamburger, just doesn’t sound appetizing. BTW, I think lactose intolerance is the effect, not the cause of a history of eschewing dairy. ---

In deference to **jali** and the great Don Cornelius, I will speak only for myself, but it seems obvious to me that you ought to get up on the 1 & 3, and get down on the 2 & 4. Few things taste as good together as a milkshake and a hamburger. Plain milk and a hamburger don’t sound all that gross to me, but maybe that’s the slavemaster in me talking. ---

This could be the lactose intolerance talking, but the idea of drinking a glass or cup or box of milk sounds disgusting to me most of the time, regardless of whether or not it’s accompanied by anything else. A good, thick milkshake is great any day, however. At least until an hour or so later.
