# Do/could they extract blood, bone marrow during organ recovery?

Just a quick question…when they’re recovering/“harvesting” organs from a brain dead person, do they extract the blood and bone marrow, too? It’d seem like a waste not to—but I don’t know if there are practical limitations that might prevent it.
