Actually, being unusual should be enough. You are, after all engaging in notation so that others who are notation-literate can figure out what you want them to play. It’s not only considerate to refrain from deliberately making their task more difficult, it’s pragmatic. As an example (non-musical), if Samuel Clemens had written _The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn_ in Pig Latin, how many people would have bothered to read it?
