As with pretty much all things: Some do, some don’t, and I suspect very few do because it’s “expected”. At least I hope so anyway. ---

Can’t speak for females, but on the theory that we’re not that different- When I perform oral sex for my female partner, I generally do enjoy it. I get a lot of direct pleasure just from hearing, seeing, and feeling her reaction, and it’s not vicarious pleasure either. At times I am enjoying myself as much or more than when I’m on the receiving end. But I also feel gratified that my partner is happy. I don’t enjoy it as much if my partner is clearly not enjoying herself, and I don’t want to do it if she has not recently showered. But I’m sure the same is true the other way around. General rule- if you wouldn’t put it in your mouth, don’t ask your partner to do so. Some differences- I’m unlikely to gag myself on her genitals. I’m more likely to need to come up for air. So, she needs to let me do so, and I need to make sure I’m not forcing myself on her, and allow her to control what’s happening if she’s doing it for me. Listening and respecting one another, and being patient, are keys to mutual enjoyment of the activity. And hygiene of course. When someone is really not enjoying it, either giving or receiving, it’s usually because one of the above principles is not being addressed. In other cases there may be a physical or psychological stumbling block that could be addressed by a doctor or therapist. And some people simply do not enjoy certain activities, are on some level asexual, demisexual, or have an aversion to using their mouth in that manner. None of these things mean there’s anything wrong, it’s just how some people are. In principle, if your partner doesn’t want to do it, you shouldn’t try to force the matter. You can try to talk about it and try to work things out but you can’t change certain things about people and they’ll be even less inclined to do it if you pressure them or put conditions on your relationship. If that’s not acceptable, then one needs to move on amicably. Long story short, men and women can and do often enjoy giving oral sex. Not all do, and pretty much everyone doesn’t enjoy it under certain conditions, so those are things to keep in mind. ---

One time when my sister was in hospital and we were visiting, the nurse asked people to leave and my mother quite clearly asked if the patient minded “females” being present, meaning herself.
