# Do Flying Ants Come UP Thru The Drain?

It’s Spring and I noticed I have flying ants in my house. I assume these are regular ants and these are the drones or whatever you call the males ones.

I only have this problem in my kitchen and bathroom. I don’t have ants in my flat. The only ones I see are these flying ones.

They seem to be in the sink. My windows are shut (it’s still cool here in Chicago). I put stoppers in the sinks and I haven’t seen any since.

Are they coming up through the drains, or did I just get lucky with the stoppers?
