# Do foxes (or any critters) really back into water to rid themselves of fleas?

Can anyone supply information or leads to information, that would substantiate the myth that foxes back themselves into water till all the fleas jump off their noses?

Has anyone seen this in any nature films, zoo information, books of fact on animal behavior, or other videos?
