Do hangover pills work?

Correction: BC Powder is used in the South. In the Deep South, you get Goody’s.

A good friend of mine recently discovered the miraculous hangover-cure properties of something Redoxin. It’s meant to be an antacid, I think, but I don’t know much about it except, well, the miraculous hangover-cure properties.

I can’t find the product I’m thinking of on Google, but it’s an effervescent tablet you drop in a glass of water and drink before bed. (It makes your pee neon, which is always fun.) It comes in several varieties; the one I am thinking of is in a blue container (and, due to its technically non-medicinal nature, they can’t be specific about what exactly it’s for.)

Of course, it may be the big glass of water that cures the hangover, but I’ve always drank lots and lots of water when I drink and this stuff seems to make quite a difference. I mean, you still feel a bit run down but not nauseous and no headache, which are the symptoms I usually suffer.
