# Do human vegetarians eilicit different behavior from other animals?

Wow, aren’t these vegans special?

Hey, I can joke-- I are one (off and on throughout my life, if that gives you a handle on how crucial I think it is). I would LOVE to think that it gave me special powers, or an affinity with animals, but most wild animals (at least the ones I’ve chatted with) would say _“What? You’re **avoiding** tasty food? You crazy?”_

That’s how I feel. I’m not proud of being disrespected by critters that flee in terror from my friends and family. My dog is probably embarrassed to be seen with me.
