# Do I need to trim my weeping crab apple tree?

I just planted a weeping crab for my mom. The branches didn’t touch when it was in it’s pot but now that it’s planted they drag.

Should I trim them a bit so they don’t drag? Or leave it well enough alone?

Im in Alberta which is zone 3 I think if that makes any difference but I don’t imagine we will have frost for at least 6 weeks.

You should keep the branches from touching the ground. Trim them off evenly at whatever height you want.
