# Do Lava Lamps behave like Oil Filled Space Heaters?

Seeing as how they’re oil filled and heat up, if enough are used to draw the same wattage, are they the same?

Sure, except oil-filled heaters use a heat exchanger, and a much more efficient method of heating the oil than using a light.
