In my limited knowledge of this subject you are the only one, but it’s not any area of the bible that caught my limited interest. The actual pillars of salt in that region are well known. I think in this case the myth was created to explain a phenomenon. Secondary meanings to biblical verses abound though. That’s as good as any of them.
Almost anything in the Bible can be considered a metaphor, but Lot’s wife definitely vanishes after that point, including when Lot is visited by his daughters.
