I heat up dinner plates by a one minute zap. I remember a thread here, I think, on what’s going on with that. Do the plates count as nothing? /not sarcasm Every 10 th time or so I throw in a few drops of water to give the microwaves something to suck on. I don’t do it every time because in a whirl of plating I don’t feel like pausing to dry off the top plate from the microwave. ---

I have some plates which seem unaffected by microwaves and one set in particular which heat up dangerously. I ended up with a blister when I discovered that for the first time.
