# Do nrt's cause harm to pregnant women?

I’m a pregnant women who is struggling to quit smoking. My doctor said he doesn’t recommend nicotine replacement therapy such as patch, gum, etc. I can’t see how it’s any worse than smoking. I want/have to quit and would like to take smoking to help me do that. Is nrt’s unsafe and if so is there something all-nateral on the market anyone can suggest?
