Yep - cars are commonplace. My brother gave his wife a car for Christmas. It seems extravagant, and maybe it is a little, but they were getting a new car anyway. Giving it as a Christmas present just makes it a little fun. I’m pretty sure she knew exterior colors and interior styles, just not specifics on the car. ---

I just saw the Audi ad-where the schmuck with a Lexus sees an Audi-and dumps his car keys in the Salvation Army kettle (the Elf with the funny ears comments “we need a bigger kettle”). Do rich idiots really give their Lexus cars away when smitten by Audi? ---

Of course. Like most commercials, this one is based on a common occurrence in real life. Just like the elaborate contraptions that I use to steal my neighbor’s beer. ---

Actually, it sounds like that actress might be a bit of a cheapskate, as the Lexus RX350 appears to be the cheapest SUV in the company’s range. ---
