# Do Scuds count as Weapons of Mass Destruction?

Is the UN calling for complete disarmament of Iraq? Because Saddam is certainly not hiding the anti-aircraft missles and artillery he’s shooting at our guys with. Is this the material breach Condaliza Rice is talking about? What about his scuds? Where are they?

No, not a complete disarmament, just from banned weapons. Weapons of mass destruction (Nuclear, Chemical, Biological weapons) and long range missiles (over 150km range). [UNSCR 1441](http://ods-dds-ny.un.org/doc/UNDOC/GEN/N02/682/26/PDF/N0268226.pdf?OpenElement) (PDF). Their declared range on several missiles thay have is 149km. Convenient. One of the things Powell was presenting yesterday, as I understand, was a missile test that was beyond that range. AA Missiles are not covered in banned weapons.
