# Do snakes have spines?

I once had a boa constrictor named Monty. I liked to take him for “walks” by holding on to his tail and letting him slide where he wanted to go. One of his favorite things to do was to find a sofa leg, wrap his head and “neck” around it, then pull against my grip on his tail. His spine would go, “Crick! Crick! Crick!” just like he was getting a chiropractic treatment. He seemed to really enjoy it.

Yes, they have spines. 🙂
