# Do the existing rules prohibit people from debating the gender of people who identify as transgender?

I’m reading through the J.K. Rowlings thread. I found a post that I think will violate the fourth bulletin point of your proposed policy/rules as quoted. It is [this post](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/855795/810),
