Trucks hauling "suicide coils."

I have a friend who’s an OTR trucker. He said he will haul any freight except “suicide coils.” According to him, “suicide coils” are large coils of steel that are rolled onto (and then secured to) a flatbed truck. Like this, this, and this. He said that, if he were to get into a wreck, there’s a good chance the coils will break free from their restraints, roll to the cab, and crush him to death.
