Nope, didn’t feel accused, but did think that I should have explained better rather than confuse people! Besides, if I were a troll, wouldn’t I have billions of posts by now? (& look even weirder than I do? No, sorry, wrong sort of troll…)
Anyway, if we didn’t feed the trolls, who would repair the bridges?
OK, enough hijacking of my own thread with even dafter questions!
I would like to weigh in on my experence w/ 2 products. The 1st one was ibm’s via voice. this was a early produce that required you to pause between words. it worked prety well, it required correcction but what i liked about it is even though it would use the wrong word at least it would be spelled correctly. talking in such broken speach was not a problem once i got used to it. then i tried dragon dictate that allowede continous speach. it worked about as well as the ibm w/o the breaks and better with the breaks (even though you weren’t suppose to use breaks). I no longer use them because I lose my train of thought when I am concentrating on speaking to my computer and secondary I don’t want anyone around me to know what i am typeing. It is sort of personal to me, when my wife reads something i am writing, i have to stop typing, when she is finished i can resume.
Also I don’t see the keyboard going the way of the dinosaurs any time soon. I just cant see a office loaded with cubicles with everyone talking to their computer.
Back to the person that yyu want to help. i think it would be great for him because you not only can type by talking but yoou can correct that way as well. I also noticed that the more words i added to its memory the worse the reconigian got
