Is the use of the term “watch” relivent? (ie: you didn’t say “looked…”) Was the pole a walking stick? ---

I hate having to go back and forth between page 1 and 2, so I’m reposting the riddle here: A man was walking down a road when a stone lodged itself between his foot and his sandal. He leaned against a pole and, with his head down to watch, he shook his foot to dislodge the stone. Another man came along and tackled the first man, knocking him to the ground. ---

Sandal Man was holding on to a metal pole, jerking. Tackler, an electrician, thought the pole had become “live” and the Sandal Man was being electrocuted, so he knocked him away from the pole. True story, by the way - Sandal Man’s arm was broken by the tackle, for which Tackler apologized later. Whew! ---

OK - one more. For the road… Bruno leaves his at night house, wearing a mask and carrying an empty sack. Several hours later he returns. The sack is now full of items from various people’s houses… but the police will never catch Bruno for this. How come? ---
