Namely, that regular liberal Democrats are too accommodationist, too comfortable in their bourgeois privilege, to truly embrace revolutionary progressive change. It’s the same kind of barb the Bolsheviks aimed at the Mensheviks a century ago, and a century and change before that, the Jacobins at the Girondins.
