Do we keep our personalities in afterlife?

My thoughts are as follows:

Once we leave this world, personality, emotion, memory, time, etc… are abandoned. We cease to exist as we once were. Our bodies are recycled back into nature, and are souls are recycled at some random point in the Universe. I believe everything in the Universe is recycled. Once our void of existance is completed here we fill another void of existance elsewhere - ad infinitium. But that’s my conclusion at the time being. Could be dead on, completely wrong or meaningless. I don’t know, but I tend not to believe there is a God. I’ve always questioned it.

OK, let’s ask ourselves an even more basic question along this line …

Does God (in whatever form you want to consider, whatever name you want to use) have a unique personality complete with idiosyncrasies, likes and dislikes, the ability to feel emotions (positive and negative) and the ability to learn from past mistakes?

And if God does, then will we when we’re in God’s presence? Or is striving for what God has, what led to Lucifer setting up his own shop?

This may not be as simple to answer as one might think.

As I recall from Sunday school, God decided the flood wasn’t such a good idea after all, and promised not to go that route again. And it took him a few years to come up with the grand idea (and I mean this sincerely) to send his son down to take it on the chin for us.

Let me say, I’ve appreciated the fine discourse on this thread thus far. All points have been worth considering. Thanks.
